Tuesday, July 19, 2016 Atlantic Institute of Columbia hosted the Artistry of Worship, an event organized entirely by the summer interns Callahan Cox, Sara Grace Salley, and Rachel Wilson. The interns wanted to foster an environment ofteaching and fellowship between various faith and art communities in Columbia. With this motivation, they created an open mic style event that invited people of different faiths to present a song, a poem, a prayer, a dance, a painting, or another artform that demonstrated a way their religion worships. Presenters from the local Dances of Universal Peace,Christian, Muslim, and Baha'i communities shared their faith practices, asking the audience to participate in song and dance. Open minds and open hearts experienced the beauty of worship's many forms. The night being such a success, plans are being made to host similar events again in the near future. Thank you to all who attended, especially the wonderful presenters!
