Clemson 2016 FLDD

Theme : Diversity and Inclusive Excellence

Atlantic Institute organized it's annual Future Leaders of Dialogue Dinner on Tuesday, October 18th at Clemson University’s Madren Center. The theme of the program was “Diversity and Inclusive Excellence,” teaching students the importance of Diversity and Inclusion in our increasingly globalized society. Our speaker was Lee A. Gill, Chief Diversity Officer and Special Assistant to the President, and our MC was Alesia A. Smith, Executive Director of Equity Compliance/Title IX Coordinator at Clemson University.

Table discussions centered around challenging stereotypes, honoring uniqueness, interacting with others from different backgrounds, working with differing personalities, and committing to achieving excellence through diversity. Each table’s discussion was summarized and presented to the other attendees by a student table moderator. Following this, names of students were drawn to participate in the Leadership Bridge Trip to Columbia in February.
