Pilgrimage of Abraham and Feast of Sacrifice

The Atlantic Institute and First Baptist Greenville had a great evening of dinner and dialogue with a focus on the Pilgrimage of Abraham and the Feast of Sacrifice.

Many guests of varying faiths gathered together at First Baptist Greenville’s Fellowship Hall. Dr. Akif Aydin from Atlantic Institute and Senior Minister Jim Dant from First Baptist Greenville provided perspectives from both the Muslim and Christian faiths, focusing on the story of Abraham and the sacrifice of his son. Both speakers followed up with questions from the audience, and highlighted the similarities and differences of the interpretations of Abraham’s story.

Dinner and dialogue followed freely afterword, giving attendees an opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions. Inspiring interfaith talks are the hallmark of the Atlantic Institute and we are proud to be part of such a valuable community event.
